Expression of one's innermost feelings concerning his/herself is significantly formed by their environment, surroundings, relationships with family, friends, neighbors and others. The situation can produce positive or negative feelings. These feelings/emotions, when channeled in the right direction, can produce creative and interesting works of art. This is great for the individual. Without this form of release, the individual feels incomplete which could result in negative and destructrive actions.
As an art educator for many years it was my intent to direct students to develop and grow in self-confidence, respect for fellow students and their works, and to do their best by utilizing the fundamentals of art and design in various media.
In my years of retirement, I enjoy family, friends, and working with colored pencil.
